Being a 4th generation plumbing contractor with over 60 years experience in Palm Beach, the family business strives to be the best in the plumbing field.
I started Southcoast in the late 1980's. I then closed the business in 1998 to take advantage of greater job opportunities with two very large South Florida plumbing contractors. With the wealth of knowledge I gained and circumstances in my favor, I reopened the doors to Southcoast Plumbing Contractors in June of 2011.
Our goal is to take pride in our work and perform tasks correctly the first time, so that the owners and builders are satisfied and continue to choose Southcoast as their preferred plumbing contractor. Southcoast has a Quality Control Program to ensure that all employees are following the necessary guidelines to guarantee that our clients are receiving top quality service.
If all Southcoast employees are following the same set of standards as described in our “Quality Control” manual, it will ensure uniformity regardless of which projects our field staff is working on.
Southcoast has a wide range of plumbing experience, from multiple 50 story high rise buildings to historical and high-end ocean-front homes.
My son, Shaun Mendel, vice president, obtained his state plumbing contractor certification in 2018 and is our secondary qualifier and will keep our company going long after I finish. I also have my daughter Heather Mendel, the executive assistant, who runs the office and keeps Southcoast a family business.
